I’ve always been interested in graphic design, ever since I was in the seventh grade and shattered my elbow. Being confined in my house I had a lot of time to mess around with a computer program called Corel Draw. Since then, I’ve been spending a lot of my time self-teaching myself design programs. Through high school and then into college I’ve been perfecting my design craft. In college I learned to deploy my design skills in interesting ways and settings. Along the way mastering many different mediums from print to web and branding to cutting edge augmented reality. Through most of my professional career I’ve been working in print related roles. Creating designed pieces from large outdoor signs to letters that end up in your mailbox. Scroll down to view my resume & learn more about me.

To start any design endeavor, it’s crucial to understand what exactly needs to be designed. I try talking to a client to extract as much info about the project as I can before they start to hate my voice.
My favorite part! You can never have enough research; I write down every little thing that comes into my mind. After I’ve gone down every possible rabbit hole the internet has to offer, I sketch concepts until my left hand goes numb (I’m a righty).
I pick the cream of the crop from all of the concepts I sketched and start to give them life. Sometimes they look like Frankenstein, and if that’s the case I find more lightning to charge into these ideas.
After I’m satisfied with the fruits of my labor, I present the ideas to the client. I listen with an open mind and take vigorous notes of their feedback so I can make my way to the final (not always!) step of the process.
Rarely is the first idea the best one. If it is, stellar! If it isn’t, I take the clients feedback and do my best 70’s movie montage impersonation to thoroughly work through the process from the beginning to get a better result that makes not only the client happy but the fans of the movie happy too.
